Time Management

Closely connected to scheduling is time management. Many people are used to having their time managed for them by an employer, and most students are used to having a school schedule their time. But for a stay-at-home parent and a homeschooled child, time management is handled on a much more personal level. If one or both have not had practice managing their own time, it can become difficult.

If we as parents struggle with getting behind, always talking on the phone, or spending too much time on Facebook, then our children will learn these skills. There is also the opposite risk of overscheduling ourselves and taking on more than we can possibly do.
